A Time-Treasured
Holiday
Celebration
Is Back
AAMC’s annual holiday light
show, Lights on the Bay, will
run Saturday, Nov. 22, through
Thursday, Jan. 1, at Sandy Point
State Park. The event features a
two-mile scenic drive along the
Chesapeake Bay with many new
features among the approximately
70 animated and stationary light
displays illuminating the roadway.
Lights on the Bay is open every
night, including holidays, from 5 to
10pm. More than 15,000 cars visit
the show each year.
There are also two opportunities
to see the show in a different
way before it officially opens. On
Thursday, Nov. 20, you and your
dog can enjoy Lights & Leashes, a
walking tour through the show to
benefit the SPCA of Anne Arundel
County. And, for the athletes,
join us for the Dashing Through
the Show 5K Run on Friday,
Nov. 21, hosted by AAMC and the
Annapolis Striders.
Lights on the Bay has something
for everyone in the family. Children
of all ages can participate in a
nightly scavenger hunt challenging
them to find items within the show,
answer display-related questions,
and enter a drawing to win prizes.
As always, Santa will make an
appearance on Thanksgiving
Day and every weekend through
Dec. 24.
Proceeds from Lights on the Bay
benefit AAMC, allowing the health
system to continue providing care
to more than a million people in
the area.
Find tickets at a variety of outlets,
including your local Graul’s Market.

It’s All New–
a Gala and Bash!
The AAMC Foundation’s Gala has been
a highly anticipated event in this region
for nearly 50 years. In 2016, we will
celebrate the golden anniversary of this
popular event with the aptly titled
Heart
of Gold Gala
celebrating cardiac care in
our community. In an effort to preserve
and advance the
pageantry and
fun that has made
the gala truly
spectacular for
half a century, the
AAMC Leadership
and Foundation
Board are changing it to a biennial event,
with the Heart of Gold Gala to be held in
April of 2016. This extravaganza will be
chaired by local leaders Mark and Lynne
Powell and AAMC Cardiovascular Medical
Director Jerry Segal, MD, and his wife Heidi
Segal. Stay tuned for news about exciting
changes to this event, including a fabulous
new location.
We are also pleased to announce that
in the years when there is no gala, the
AAMC Foundation is launching a new
event beginning this spring in Annapolis.
Get ready for
Denim &
Diamonds
, a night of fun,
food and dancing under the
stars. This new twist on the
old-fashioned tent party will
feature fabulous cuisine, a
great band, unique auction
prizes, and a “come as
you like” theme. From your
favorite pair of denim jeans to your best
cocktail dress, everything is “in” at Denim
& Diamonds. We are pleased to announce
that veteran gala committee member and
past auction co-chair Claudia Boldyga and
husband RxNt President Randy Boldyga
will chair this new party.

events, including advertising and
sponsorship opportunities, call Kendra
