the Way
Enhancing your health and the
health of your family has been the
mission of Anne Arundel Medical
Center (AAMC). We serve more and more people every
year across many counties and increasingly “outside
the walls” in communities spanning from Largo to
Easton, Glen Burnie to Prince Frederick.
As a non-profit organization, we fulfill our
responsibility to the community through programs,
treatments, outreach activities, and education. Our
recent
community benefit report
gives a snapshot of
the work we do to fulfill our mission. We’ve been doing
this work since our beginning in 1902, and we’re
proud to share some highlights (at right).
We couldn’t do any of this work without community
partnerships. Caregivers from AAMC partner with
several area organizations to focus on the health
issues identified in our community health needs
assessment. These issues range from conquering
obesity and cancer to addressing substance use and
mental health.
We also have about
80 patient and family advisors
who collaborate with us and provide input on our care
policies, programs and services. (Check out page 4
to learn how advisor Carlette Allen helped shape our
new oncology rehab program.)
Together, we are finding better ways to deliver
healthcare—making it safer and more efficient.
