The inaugural “Style on the Runway” event was held
Oct. 2, 2011, at the Loews Annapolis Hotel. Hosted by
David Alexander Salon and Spa and Stepping Out for
Breast Cancer, this exciting hair and fashion show raised
an impressive $80,000 to support programs and services
for men and women with breast cancer. Kudos to Yvette
Parrish, Linda Swanson and Scott Brainard for chairing
this event.
‘Style on the Runway’ Turns Heads!
The inaugural “Delmarva Breast Cancer Shoot” was held Oct. 8, 2011, at Schrader’s Bridgetown
Manor. Benefiting the AAMC Breast Center, this unique, fun event featured a clay-pigeon shoot as well
as raffle prizes and a silent auction.
The event raised $13,000 for AAMC to support programs and services for breast cancer patients.
Special thanks go to Chris Corkell and Vicki Cox for coordinating the event.
Delmarva Fundraiser Right on Target
Slam Dunk for Cancer Care
Annapolis Area Christian School (AACS), Glen Elg Country
School and St. John’s Catholic Prep in Frederick raised
$19,300 through their “Pink Out” Interscholastic
Basketball Competition, doubling the amount
raised at last year’s event. The funds will support
AAMC’s Geaton and JoAnn DeCesaris Cancer
