Spring into
better health
Spring is a time of renewal—a time
to recommit to the goals and values
that will drive Anne Arundel Medical
Center (AAMC) for the rest of the year—and to plant
seeds for the future. AAMC is committed to serving the
community, as clearly stated in our mission to enhance
health. Our recent community bene t report gives a
snapshot of the work we do to ful ll our mission. See
some highlights at right.
As a non-pro t organization, we ful ll our
responsibility by providing programs, treatments,
outreach, and education based on a community health
needs assessment that is conducted every three years.
We partner with many community organizations to
reach our goals. They include reducing obesity, heart
disease, and lung and skin cancer deaths, improving
access to primary care and mental health and substance
abuse treatment, and improving care for elderly and
low-income residents.
